Oxley Park Golf Club

Oxley Park Golf Club is one of Wolverhampton's hidden gems, nestling behind houses along the Stafford Road just out of the city centre. The course, which recently celebrated its centenary, was created by Harry Shapland Colt, the famous golf course architect who designed over 300 courses around the world, from Aberdovey to Yarra-Yarra in Australia.

The course is played in two loops. The first loop finishing at the eighth, a par four of 443 yards. With out of bounds down the right and a pool at driving distance, it definitely earns its rating of stroke index 1.The second loop finishes at the eighteenth, another par four of 417 yards, a very testing finish with a stroke index of 2. So, avoid the trees, ponds and out of bounds and enjoy some of the best greens the area has to offer.
