Military Preparation College Training

Since its formation in 1999, The Motivational Preparation College for Training (MPCT) has been dedicated to offering opportunities to young people through training and education. MPCT is made up of a number of training locations across schools, colleges and sports facilities in England and Wales. MPCT is made up of 3 academies, they are;

The Military Preparation College (MPC)- The Military Preparation College is designed specifically for 16-24 year olds (in Wales our course is for 16-19 year olds) and offers specific training and qualifications in Uniformed and Public Services. The college is full time and run across several locations in England and Wales.

The Military Preparation Schools - Formerly known as The Skills Academy, our schools provision, which actively supports and complements all local school curricula and provides engaging, practical activities with expert advice and course information. The curriculum is innovative and varied, designed for learners aged 14-16 who are in school and are interested in gaining an insight into life within the Armed Forces and other Public Services such as the Fire Service. The course is delivered through project and theme-based approaches with well-resourced learning environments.

Sports, exercise and fitness - Our Sports Academies are based in Cardiff and RCT. In Cardiff we are based in Cardiff Central Youth Club and in RCT we are based in Coleg y Cymoedd and we use Tonyrefail Leisure Centre where we offer Sport specific qualifications and training. At our Sports Academy you will learn vital skills that could create platform to a great career as well as Active Apprenticeships. Please note that the Sports programmes are only delivered in Wales.
